TrumpIt is an independent parody and entertainment brand. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, or any government entity. Every name on the map is a joke somebody paid for. Nothing on this site transfers real-world property, authority or naming rights over any actual place.
The whole deal in one box. You are paying to put a silly name on a place inside this website, for as long as nobody outbids you. You do not own the place. You never owned the place. There is no prize, no payout and no investment. Someone can take your name down one minute after you put it up, and that is not a bug - it is the game.
When you make a claim on TrumpIt you purchase temporary naming and display placement inside the TrumpIt service. That is the entire product. Your name appears on our map, on our pages and in our feeds, for as long as your claim remains the highest-influence claim on that location, subject to these terms.
No real-world ownership, right or interest transfers to you. A claim gives you no title, deed, lease, licence, easement, naming right, trademark, authority or any other interest in any actual place, landmark, business, body of water, region or country, and no relationship of any kind with any person or organisation associated with one.
Amounts paid are the price of entertainment already delivered. Treat every payment as spent the moment it is made.
This is the core mechanic and you agree to it explicitly. Any other user may outbid you and replace your name immediately - one second after you claim, or in the middle of the night, or repeatedly. Ownership at every level of the map goes to the highest influence, and influence changes continuously.
Payment does not guarantee a minimum reign. There is no minimum display period, no protected window, no cooling-off period and no guaranteed impressions. A claim that is displaced within seconds has been fully delivered, and no refund is owed for it. See the Refund Policy for the narrow cases where we do refund.
You are responsible for every name, label, link, image and word you submit. You must have the right to submit it, and it must comply with our Moderation Policy.
Claims can be moderated, edited, hidden or removed. We may review any submission before or after it goes live, and we may reject, alter, hide or delete it - with or without notice - where it breaches these terms or our Moderation Policy, where we are required to by law, or where it exposes us or a third party to harm. Removal for a breach does not entitle you to a refund.
We may use what you submit in our own promotion. By submitting content you grant TrumpIt a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, reproduce, adapt, display, distribute and publish that content in TrumpIt social posts, promotional material, advertising, press and product marketing, including automated posts generated from site activity, in any medium now known or later developed. Your username and territory colour may appear alongside it. This licence survives the end of your claim so that posts already published do not have to be unpicked.
There are no passwords - ever. Access is by single-use email link. Keep your email account secure; anyone with access to your inbox can access your TrumpIt account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13 years old (16 in the UK and EEA).
Usernames are auto-generated and then editable. We may reclaim, rename or suspend a handle that impersonates a real person or organisation, or that breaches our Moderation Policy.
TrumpIt is a work of parody and commentary. Names of real places, people, brands and organisations appear for identification, satire and commentary only. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners, and no endorsement, affiliation or sponsorship is claimed or implied.
If you believe a name on the site infringes your rights or misuses your identity, email legal@trumpit.lol and we will review it promptly.
The service is provided “as is” and may be interrupted, changed or discontinued. We may add, remove, rename, merge, split or unlist locations, adjust the rules of play, or end the service entirely. If we permanently discontinue the service, active claims simply end; they carry no residual value and no compensation is payable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrumpIt is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, goodwill or data. Our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
You may stop using TrumpIt at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, for fraud or payment abuse, or where required by law. On termination, active claims end and names are removed from display.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date and, where the change is significant, flagged in the product. Continuing to use TrumpIt after a change means you accept it.
These terms are a plain-English statement of how TrumpIt works. They have not yet been reviewed by
counsel - see docs/legal-review-checklist.md in the repository for what must be
signed off before public launch.
